"Canelones," inspired by true events, is a nocturnal thriller that follows the kidnapping of Chichita, the mother of writer Hernán Casciari, by Daniel Olesnik in 2015. Olesnik seeks to settle a blood debt: to avenge the teenage prank Hernán and his friend Chiri played in 1987, which drove his own mother to suicide. An inescapable spiral of revenge, suffocating and fatal, unfolds in a single night.
