I am delighted by all the wonderful things that have happened—and continue to happen—with *La Uruguaya*, a project where I handled art direction alongside Mariana Pereira and a brilliant team from Argentina and Uruguay. From the very beginning, the art department dubbed itself "uruguayalove." I am happy to have worked with Orsai on a project with such an innovative production model—a collaborative space where we worked together spectacularly—and thrilled by the audience's reception and the recognition and awards the film has garnered.

Thank you to Ana Garcia Blaya and Joaquin Marquez for inviting me to be part of this, and thank you to the amazing technical crew, the actors who absolutely nailed their performances, the screenwriters who crafted this cinematic adaptation of the hit novel, and the 1,961 producers—incredible companions on this journey. Thank you to Pedro Mairal, Hernan Casciari, and Chiri Basilis for bringing this beautiful idea to life.
